Our postal system is fading away. Last year, I signed the petition to keep my beauuuutiful local post office open (just 3 blocks from my house). In my area, couriers only come when there is mail to be delivered, not picked up. Most of that mail is junk junk junk, ads ads ads. When these companies start to realize all this “spam” is tossed, without even being glanced at, more and more post offices will close, and more and more postal workers will lose their jobs. Send a letter TODAY! Receiving a hand written (not typed) letter has always been such a treat for me. They are little treasures. I am sending out about a dozen valentines cards within the next few days, I hope everyone else can too. I hope that this begins a chain of pen pals and thought-provoking communication. Beyond the email, beyond the text, beyond the instagram and the tumblr message. Sit down, hold a pen, and think about communication through a hand-written letter.
